Feedback From The Judges

“It was very hard to rank them (I just wanted to meet them all!) but I focused on businesses that were female-founded, with traction, growth potential and solving a pressing problem. It’s rare in my experience to hear women selling themselves and their achievements, so it was a joy to read through the submissions.  I wish every single entrant the best of luck on their entrepreneurial journey.

It’s been a privilege to read through the TechRound entries. So many important, interesting, successful businesses spearheaded by women, with very varied missions from how to monitor biodiversity, or create safe, efficient industrial sites, to offering solutions to improve literacy and upskill the future workforce.”

– Roberta Draper, Senior Associate at law firm Kingsley Napley

“The talent and innovation showcased in this campaign are truly inspiring. The diversity of industries represented—from deep tech to transformative solutions—demonstrates the incredible impact women are making in the tech ecosystem. The scale and value these startups bring are remarkable, and the dedication to community work is absolutely jaw-dropping. It’s an honor to be part of this journey, recognizing and celebrating these visionary leaders.”

Žydrūnė Vitaitė, Co-Founder at Women Go Tech

“Seeing women in fields that historically have been male dominated always brings a sense of inspiration, and I’m sure I don’t just say this for myself as a young woman who is navigating their career path.

These women are responsible for creating the most amazing and useful ideas that speak to needs we might have in different industries. From women’s health to tech solutions, this year’s picks were definitely interesting to learn about. One woman in tech who stood out for me was Jane Jin. I have a fascination with chemistry, and her startup uses chemistry to create sustainable solutions where being environmentally friendly is more important now than it ever has been.”

Zee Yende, Writer at TechRound

“There was so much passion, evidenced resilience, and incredible innovations shared in each submission for ‘Women in Start-Ups and Tech 2025’ for TechRound – all individually challenging, and redefining, what’s possible for the future of the technology industry. Each entry told me a story of how barriers had been broken, and how the status quo had been challenged. I’m excited for the future of technology with such bold ideas and fearless leadership in place. These award submissions show us that the future of technology startups will be diverse and dynamic, and successfully driven by brilliant female founders.”

“Women in tech are transforming multiple industries with groundbreaking innovation. From scientific research and medtech to fintech, e-commerce, and veterinary medicine, they are harnessing the latest technologies to solve real-world challenges. As a judge for TechRound’s Top 50 Women in Tech competition, I was truly inspired by their grit, passion, creativity, and impact. Their success stories showcase the incredible diversity of tech careers and pave the way for future generations of women to lead, innovate, and ultimately make the world a better place. The future is brighter and more inclusive because of them.”

“As a consumer-focused founder passionate about both brand and marketing, I was drawn to OVA and NIFT for their strong positioning and innovative solutions. Both have built brands that stand out and instantly connect with their audience. The other startups I judged also stood out to me for their ability to build strong brands, foster community, and solve real consumer problems. I believe all of these startups are tackling important issues that will have an impact on women’s lives in different ways.”
