NUBIO CEO Murat Bazarov’s journey to becoming an innovator and pioneer in the field of tech-based skincare solutions is a story of resilience, opportunity, and creativity. As an immigrant to the United States from Turkmenistan, Bazarov came to the United States in 2019 with dreams of becoming a major player in the ever-changing field of technology.
He left with the wishes and support of his parents, who instilled in him the values necessary for entrepreneurship from a young age.
His mother’s background as a fashion designer and jewelry collector cultivated his appreciation for aesthetics and originality, while his father’s military discipline honed his critical thinking and resilience. “My father taught me discipline, my mother taught me creativity, and America taught me that opportunities are everywhere,” Bazarov explained. “All it takes is the courage to chase them.”
Through his mother, he was exposed to many cultural events and exhibitions on art and history from a young age. As a fashion designer and jewelry collector, his mother had a trained, discerning eye for seeking out the beauty and originality only possible through an artisan’s unique vision. The importance of creativity and pursuing a singular vision would become core values of NUBIO at the company’s founding years later.
As a military man, his father knew the importance of helping his children reach their full potential by pushing them out of their comfort zones. He taught his children skills and values such as philanthropy, equestrian skills, and math through chess and strategic games.
Bazarov’s disciplined upbringing resulted in an early affinity for academics and learning, leading him to become a chess champion as a child and a Mathematics Olympiad winner in Turkmenistan. He also developed a passion for books and reading that would serve him well, leading to a timely opportunity to attend a specialised programme at Johns Hopkins University.

Bazarov began his journey in the United States by gaining valuable experience in fields such as engineering and social sciences through Johns Hopkins University’s Summer and Intersession Programme. Out of 50 applicants, he was the only student from Turkmenistan who was accepted for this prestigious programme.
Despite the challenges of acclimating to a new country and culture, Bazarov continued his education at Northern Virginia Community College, eventually graduating with honors and recognition for his academic and leadership achievements.
While at Northern Virginia Community College, Bazarov pursued his interests in coding by serving as the President of NVCC’s Code Lab, where he spearheaded coding initiatives and provided mentorship to aspiring computer scientists. Despite these helpful opportunities, he was still looking for the right idea that would let him apply his technical skills in a way that would provide real value to customers all over the world.
“Perfectionism almost held me back. I used to overthink everything, wanting to have every detail figured out before starting,” Bazarov reminisced. “But I realised that all it takes is to start the process. You learn everything by experience; you don’t have to know it all in advance.”
The right idea would come from a very personal place, as Bazarov observed the lack of quality products for older people like his grandmother. The vision for NUBIO stemmed from observing his grandmother’s struggle with mobility and the scarcity of tailored skincare solutions for older adults, which led him to design more inclusive and accessible footcare products.
During the process of researching the footcare industry, Bazarov also noticed a lack of footcare products for men and a lack of products in general for common footcare issues such as calluses, corns, and bunions.
At the age of 20, Bazarov launched NUBIO Foot Care as a way to make footcare products more accessible and universal, especially to demographics that were not generally interested in skincare products, such as men, the elderly, and athletes. To further realise his vision, Bazarov went on to develop the NUBIO App, which leveraged new technologies such as artificial intelligence in order to offer truly personalised skincare solutions to people with different skin types and conditions.
Throughout his entire journey, Bazarov has found chasing his vision both the greatest challenge and the greatest reward of his career. “Moving to the U.S. and adjusting to a new culture was tough, but figuring out how to turn my vision into a reality was even tougher,” he said. “One quote that resonates deeply with me is, ‘Chase the vision, not the money; change the world, not just your business. And enjoy every minute of your journey.’ This philosophy has guided my journey with NUBIO, where the focus has always been on making a meaningful impact rather than just achieving financial success.”
Murat Bazarov’s life experiences, acquired knowledge, and vision-based philosophy have taken him across the globe and into new frontiers, where he continues to learn and grow to this day. He believes in building genuine relationships, valuing loyalty, and approaching every challenge with a problem-solving mindset. With plans to bring the NUBIO App and platform to millions of active users by the end of 2025, he continues to pursue his goals and mission with a focus on changing the world, one customer at a time.
