What is All Gravy?
All Gravy is an AI-powered employee app for Gen Z, that changes the way frontline workers engage with their employers and vice versa.
Founded in 2020, the company started after having conversations with gig economy workers and understanding how outdated processes were. Current systems provided no easy way to be onboarded, no way to track payments and no systems for shift work.
This made HR difficult and retention even harder.
Now, All Gravy has over 1,000 restaurants onboarded to the platform and has just announced its launch in the UK to help companies support, retain and grow their Gen Z workforce.
Speaking to EU-Startups, Jonatan Rasmussen commented
““People want tech to be smooth, whether they work in hospitality or at Google. Gen Z is used to TikTok, Instagram, and ChatGPT, but when they enter the workforce, they’re met with outdated pen and paper in restaurants and retail stores. We’re building tech that augments human intelligence, by developing and training it on the specific issues that arise at each individual customer and adapting to the needs of the employees.”

What Makes All Gravy Unique
All Gravy is unique because it focuses on what employees need from their employers. The company started out by conducting hundreds of interviews with gig workers to understand what they liked (or didn’t like) about the workforce tools they had.
All Gravy is unique because it not only set out to fix these for employees, but also focuses on younger generations like Gen Z. Gen Z are used to easy tech interfaces that are modern and well-integrated. All Gravy sets out to apply these principles to gig work.
By combining everything from onboarding to finances, shift schedules, communication and more into one app, it helps companies pull everything into one system. Instead of asking workers to use outdated tools, All Gravy works for them – making the user experience as easy as possible for Gen Z.
Is There A Market for Frontline Workforce Tech?
Absolutely – and it’s growing fast. According to timewise, 10.5 million people work in frontline jobs in the UK, across sectors like health, transport, childcare, retail hospitality and more.
However, despite there being such a large workforce, many of them are forced to use older technology or flip between multiple platforms.
To help improve retention, having everything in one platform is a great solution. Currently, All Gravy’s customers have seen a 15% increase in employee retention and a 20% rise in shifts taken. This shows just how important user experience is.
When it comes to Gen Z, these workers are now driving forward gig economy work. All Gravy’s app is designed to appeal directly to this demographic, helping to drive it forwards.
