About Buildots
Buildots was founded in 2018 by Roy Danon, Aviv Leibovici, and Yakir Sudry to build the operational layer that the global construction industry has lacked. The sector loses an estimated 1.6 trillion dollars each year to inefficiency, rework, and schedule slippage, with progress traditionally tracked through site walks, marked-up drawings, and verbal updates. Buildots was built to replace that with structured, objective data.
The Buildots platform pairs 360-degree cameras and drone imagery with AI that compares site reality against the project 3D model and schedule. The result is automated progress tracking, predictive delay forecasts, and continuous performance metrics that give construction teams a single source of truth across every phase of a build.
Adoption in construction has historically been slow. Buildots had to prove that AI could deliver measurable, defensible value to firms accustomed to manual processes and high project risk. Over seven years of deployment, it has done so. The platform now serves more than 50 large-scale construction organisations across North America, the UK, Europe, and Israel, including Turner, JE Dunn, Mortenson, Whiting-Turner, VINCI Construction, HOCHTIEF, Bouygues Construction, Sir Robert McAlpine, and Wates. Intel is both a customer and an investor through Intel Capital. Field deployments show that Buildots and its PDCM methodology can reduce project delays by up to 50 percent.
The company has grown 100 percent year on year for multiple consecutive years, has worked on more than 250 projects, and has analysed over 1.4 billion square feet of construction. It employs more than 230 people across six countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Israel. A new Chicago office anchors a planned fourfold expansion across North America in 2025. The most recent funding round, 45 million dollars led by Qumra Capital and Hapoalim Equity, brings total funding to 166 million dollars. Other backers include Lightspeed, Viola, Intel Capital, TLV Partners, Future Energy Ventures, and OG Venture Partners.
In October 2025, Buildots launched underground utility tracking, the first solution to turn drone-captured imagery into structured progress and delay risk insights for the earliest phase of construction. In February 2026, Bouygues Bâtiment Industrie selected Buildots for a 44,000 square metre logistics platform in France. In April 2026, Buildots unveiled construction intelligence as a new operational category, formalising a shift from subjective reporting to predictive, AI-driven project delivery.
The impact on the AI industry lies in showing that computer vision can move beyond software into the physical economy. Buildots is one of the clearest demonstrations that AI can become the operational backbone of a sector building global infrastructure, doing so with measurable, defensible value at enterprise scale.
