About Tim Reid Media Ltd
Tech PR matters when it changes who understands a product, why they care, and whether they trust the people behind it. At Tim Reid Media (TRM), our first client six years ago was a tech client, and they remain a key partner.
For customer experience, AI, cybersecurity and network transformation specialists FourNet, Tim is the PR and crisis communications lead. The company works in services where a technical failure can quickly become a public issue. His role goes beyond securing coverage: it includes helping FourNet explain complex work in plain language and communicate clearly when the stakes are high. That combination of proactive PR and crisis judgment makes communications part of how the business protects trust.
For AI-led enterprise software startup, DesignVerse, the obstacle is complexity. Its system builds enterprise software using an organisation’s own documentation and internal rules. Explaining that in a sentence is difficult; showing why it matters is harder. Tim has centred the story on the organisations trying to replace ageing software without losing the knowledge built into it. That gives journalists and potential customers a way into a technical product through a recognisable business problem.
Market intelligence startup Veridion faced a similar challenge from a different direction. Its business intelligence system maps companies at a scale that can be reduced too easily to a large number. Tim has connected the data to decisions people already care about: identifying suppliers, understanding exposure and responding when markets change. Its recent Series A announcement generated more than 200 media mentions in a week, taking the company’s story well beyond a funding headline.
Perhaps the clearest example of TRM’s approach is The Estate Registry. Bereavement technology solves practical problems at an intensely personal time, but “death tech” is a poor starting point for a human story. TRM has brought the people affected by those problems to the foreground, including through mainstream media coverage of Settld. TRM has also helped develop and promote the popular Keep It Grief podcast, which creates room for honest conversations about loss. Together, the work makes services that might otherwise seem administrative easier to understand and more relevant to the people who need them.
Other tech clients we’ve helped – from space and deep tech to critical minerals – operate in a field that has moved rapidly up the political and business agenda. The impact is visibility for subjects that sit behind some of the biggest questions facing technology: where essential materials come from, who controls supply and what it takes to build new resilient industries.
These clients do not all share an industry, a customer or a simple media playbook. Each has required TRM to get beneath the technical description and identify what changes for the people using the product. The results range from national and international business coverage and a widely reported funding round to clearer human understanding of technology used during bereavement.
At TRM, we try to make consequential technology legible, credible and newsworthy, while keeping the people it affects at the centre of the story.
