About Harpreet Kaur and Oh So Yum!
Harpreet Kaur is the recent winner of the 16th Series of The Apprentice where her business Oh So Yum! (previously known as Barni’s World) secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.
Harpreet grew up in Birmingham until she was 11 before moving to West Yorkshire studying Marketing and Advertising Management at Leeds Metropolitan University. Prior to winning The Apprentice she worked for HSBC as Retail Branch Manager and Barclays Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager.
Oh So Yum! was founded in 2015 by Harpreet and her sister Gurvinder. With early ambitions to start a business they began their journey with just £100 operating in West Yorkshire. Oh So Yum! has in-person stores based in Huddersfield, Leeds and a recently opened parlour in Bradford. The company also has an online-delivery platform allowing customers to choose from a range of food options, with subscription options too.
The stores have grown significantly from the first kiosk that was created in Leeds and Harpreet hopes to be known as the number-one dessert brand in the UK.
