About Nipuni and Ivy Tech Ltd.
Nipuni is the co-founder of Ivy Tech Ltd, a Derby-based research and innovation enterprise. Their aim is to enable the fourth-industrial revolution a reality.
Nipuni received her MEng in Aerospace Engineering from Brunel University London in 2015. In her second year she secured a role at a research centre in Cambridge as a Technical Research Assistant. This was where she developed her interest in technology and innovation.
While working for Rolls-Royce as their Digital Technology Manager, Nipuni started her own company to develop cutting-edge new manufacturing technologies.
She has collaborated in multiple government-funded R&D projects, and has provided mentoring and coaching within STEM. She has also spoken on many leading events worldwide on their STEM panels.
Nipuni was elected as the UK chair for the Gender Diversity Network at Rolls-Royce in 2019. She is currently working as the Vice Chair. Nipuni uses her own experience as a young, female engineer to inspire and encourage others in her industry, and her work as Vice Chair has supported the company to move towards a diverse and inclusive environment.
Ivy Tech focuses on automation lean six sigma, robotics and sonochemistry. They work with the UK, European commission, and single-client projects.
