About APARI

APARI was started to simplify tax and accounting, giving taxpayers a real time view of their tax liability ‒ something taxpayers have never had before. Armed with this information, customers can be empowered to make better-informed financial decisions and plan ahead.

APARI aims to simplify the accounting and tax process, removing jargon to give users more confidence and control over their accounts without the need for an accountant.

The recently announced Making Tax Digital (MTD) for income tax ‒ the biggest change to taxation in decades ‒ will require taxpayers to submit five returns a year directly to HMRC via accounting software, instead of submitting the current annual tax return. With such a big change affecting millions of taxpayers, now is the perfect time for a digital solution like APARI.

APARI is now the first free HMRC-recognised MTD software to take UK taxpayers all the way through the new MTD process and submit their digital tax returns. By working closely with HMRC, APARI have been able to integrate their new APIs into their software as soon as they are released, helping as many users as possible through the new process as smoothly as possible.

APARI is a unique and diverse fintech company. Half of APARI’s core team are female, for example, shaking up the overrepresentation of young men in fintech.

APARI’s belief is that tax knowledge should be accessible to everyone ‒ because no one should be confused or out of the loop when it comes to their own money.
