About Trymaze Ltd

Maze is a relocation management platform, launched in 2021, within the ImmiTech industry that facilitates support for cross-border employee and student migration into new workplace organisations or places of study.

Backed by the University of Birmingham, Maze streamlines relocation process to create a seamless transition for anyone moving from their home country to settle in the UK. Our platform reduces the administrative challenges that newcomers face with cross-country movement, particularly addressing culture shock they faced as international students in the UK.

Their mission is to improve, automate the relocation experience and fill the gap in the services provided by traditional relocation agencies. Backed by automation, they’re eliminating the need to spend hours managing logistics or searching for service providers across different platforms. Maze technology frees up time and reduces bureaucracy and the frequency of email threads, so management teams can dedicate resources to advise and support movers, without spending hours managing relocation logistics or searching for service providers across different platforms.

The app offers a flexible and intuitive digital relocation solution designed to help the user own their journey. A relocating user can organise and plan their move via the mobile and web app available on Google Play and App Store, with access to personalised support from pre-arrival to settlement. Their website also features free resources and free tools to help relocators save on cost, time and stress.

Since their launch, Maze has been recognised as the 2022 Graduate Start-up of the year in the Midlands; as well as partnered with Microsoft for Startups. They have also successfully onboarded and helped newcomers relocate and received an equity-free funding. They received £10,000 worth of seed investment from SuperTech towards building their MVP, received a Santander Enterprise Grant award of £2,000+ towards their marketing campaign and £1,000+ from the University of Birmingham. They have also closed 40+ affiliate partnerships to enhance settlement interactions for our users – reliable third-party service providers including institutions, movers, recruitment agencies, relocation management companies, travel agencies, housing agencies and ride-sharing services. They were also listed as one of the startups to watch in the West Midlands.

They intend to expand from a B2C model into an enterprise B2B model to facilitate global mobility, providing one-stop-shop relocation services for corporations, government entities and consumers. Companies spend an average of £80K to relocate a single employee across borders. With the high cost of relocation and the risk of low employee retention, managing the move has become a high-stakes game. Thus, employers outsource these services to make moves successful. Their digital platform perfectly suits the UK multicultural society, acting as the perfect tonic for those who are new and keen to explore.

At Maze, the vision is to push conversations around topics that pose a massive risk for any multicultural society – diversity and inclusivity. As they scale, they will be a recognised advocate for a diverse, inclusive and equitable society as newcomers settle into their new community, get integrated into the work culture and build or grow a family.
