About Doctify
Before founding Doctify, Stephanie Eltz was an NHS surgeon. She found a mole that she thought could be cancerous and wanted to get it assessed. But even as someone with a deep medical network, she found it hard to find a specialist she could trust.
That experience became the drive behind Doctify. At its core, Doctify is a healthcare review platform for patients and a reputation tool for providers. Doctors, clinics and hospitals can collect verified patient reviews automatically, manage their online profiles and stay visible across Google and AI search. Stephanie launched the company in 2015 with her co-founder and current Doctify Medical Director, Suman Saha.
Over a decade later, the platform actively partners with over 35,000 healthcare professionals and has expanded to seven international markets: the UK, Ireland, Australia, Austria, Germany, the UAE and most recently Saudi Arabia. Named in the Financial Times FT1000 as one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, Doctify helps over 10 million patients a year find the right doctor with confidence.
The product is built around a closed-loop review system. Once a patient has had their appointment, they are sent an SMS or email reminder to leave a review on Doctify. Only patients who have had an appointment are invited to leave feedback, meaning every review can be tied to a real patient, unlike generic feedback platforms where anyone can leave a review. Doctors get genuine, structured feedback about their practice. Patients get information they can trust.
Doctify adds a second layer of trust through peer validation, allowing clinicians to formally recognise the skills and expertise of their colleagues on their profiles. Clinical reputation is a huge part of a doctor’s credibility, and without this function, detailed information about their expertise could easily be invisible to patients. Over 100,000 peer endorsements have been made on the platform in under 18 months.
Building trust in a regulated, risk-sensitive industry was the hardest challenge to overcome. Convincing providers to commit to publishing all verified feedback, including negative reviews, required a governance process that gave them confidence. Doctify addressed this by establishing an independent review committee that includes external clinicians and legal oversight, ensuring all reviews published, positive or negative, adhere to Doctify’s guidelines (authentic, anonymously presented and free of abuse or harassment).
The platform has taken on new commercial importance as AI search has reshaped healthcare discovery, and Doctify is already seeing what that shift means in practice. Structured verified reviews and clinically supported healthcare content give AI the information it needs to guide patients accurately. On the provider side, structured profiles present the credentials, specialisms and peer reputation of each doctor in a way that LLMs and search engines can read directly, keeping providers visible when patients use AI for healthcare research. The result is a 680% year-on-year increase in click-throughs from AI-driven search tools.
