About Vulse

Vulse was founded in 2019 by Rob Illidge, leveraging 18 years of experience in social media marketing. The company was created to solve a growing B2B challenge: helping employees build credible personal brands and become consistent advocates on LinkedIn without losing their individual voice.

The platform has navigated changing LinkedIn policies, complex API requirements, limited early resources and the challenge of competing with significantly larger, better-funded platforms.

Despite operating with a lean team, the company secured advanced access to the LinkedIn Community Management API and developed a close working relationship with LinkedIn over seven years. This access is now particularly valuable following the closure of the programme to new applicants in November 2025.

Vulse has developed from a content support tool into a comprehensive employee advocacy and LinkedIn analytics platform. Its features include personalised content recommendations, tone of voice matching, scheduling, approval workflows, team leaderboards, live analytics, brand mention monitoring, community management and detailed employee performance reporting.

The platform helps B2B organisations turn employee advocacy into a measurable and repeatable growth channel.

The company has overcome the common SaaS challenge of building trust without a large sales or marketing budget. Through product innovation, customer results and founder-led thought leadership, Vulse has built a growing international customer base and generated demand from major organisations across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America

It has also earned recognition through partnerships and programmes involving Microsoft, NVIDIA, Manchester Metropolitan University and the Turing Innovation Catalyst, alongside a second-place ranking in the MediaTech 50.

Vulse has contributed to the wider SaaS ecosystem by making sophisticated LinkedIn capabilities accessible to smaller and mid-sized B2B organisations. Its research, based on more than 700 million LinkedIn impressions and over 263,000 posts, is helping marketing teams understand what drives employee visibility, engagement and consistency.

By combining trusted platform access, practical automation and measurable insight, Vulse is helping move employee advocacy away from manual content sharing and towards a data-powered discipline that supports brand awareness, personal branding, recruitment and commercial growth.
