NATURAL SPORTS NUTRITION BRAND TRIBE SEEKS £1.25M IN NEW CROWDFUND ROUND

TRIBE is fundraising for the second time since raising £1.75M in 2017, as the brand continues its ambition to become the biggest sports nutrition brand in Europe by 2025

  • More than 150,000 TRIBE members have attended over 500 events
  • UK-first energy bar with 100% compostable packaging. 100% vegan
  • Recently rolled out to Sainsbury’s. 165,000 products sold in June 2019 alone
  • TRIBE Freedom Foundation has raised more than £275,000 since 2017

TRIBE, the UK’s fast-growing natural sports nutrition brand and athletics community, has announced it will launch its secondcrowdfunding campaign on 23rd July. Through a collaboration with Crowdcube, the brand will aim to raise £1.25m in a bid to drive international growth, develop market-leading products and inspiring events, and inspire its community to continue a fight against human trafficking.

Since a successful £1.75m crowdfund in 2017, TRIBE’s revenues have skyrocketed by 400% and show no signs of slowing down. TRIBE is currently valued at £10m with a forecast of £2m for this year, £3.5m by 2021 and £40m by 2025. TRIBE’s year-on-year revenue growth is more than 125%, selling a total of 165,000 products in June 2019 alone, with new product ranges due to be introduced later this summer.

TRIBE investors will be given an opportunity to ‘road test’ all new products before the public, as well as being given a 15% lifetime discount on all products. These will include the latest in cutting-edge product developed in response to social trends and needs. For example, as well as boasting natural ingredients in all products, TRIBE’s range last year turned 100% vegan and introduced 100% compostable packaging to help reduce littering.

To support the fundraising phase and provide face time with its founders, TRIBE will hold an investor 5K run event on 23rd July, from TRIBE’s Shoreditch HQ, that will give potential investors an insight into TRIBE’s crowdfunding venture and brand ambitions. This will be a chance to meet and hear from all three of TRIBE’s founders, as well as spokespeople from Crowdcube.

Tom Stancliffe, Co-Founder of TRIBE said, “Our goal is to become the biggest sports nutrition brand in Europe by 2025. At the same time, the TRIBE community can also be a powerful force for good; leading the way on compostable packaging and vegan ingredients and continuing the fight against modern slavery that started with Run for Love.”

“The world is becoming healthier, more sustainable and more conscious of its social impact. TRIBE is at the forefront of this revolution; developing market-leading natural and vegan performance products and 100% compostable packaging for the UK market. Our mission is to continue the TRIBE journey that began with a 1,000-mile run to fight human trafficking in 2013 and to end modern slavery. Our registered charity, the TRIBE Freedom Foundation, is on track to raise almost £500,000 to fight human trafficking in 2019.”
