Our Startup of the Week for this week are pioneers in the LGBTQ+ sexual health sector – LVNDR Health!
LVNDR is a digital platform on a mission to improve the sexual wellbeing of individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, doing this by facilitating the accessibility of remote care and services that are designed specifically to fit users’ needs. The startup aims to reduce the social inequalities that exist in healthcare, specifically the care involved with sexual health and in gender identity.
LVNDR was founded in 2020 by Christopher El Badaoui, Araxie Boyadjian and Joshua Armistead-Wood – all members of the LGBTQ+ community themselves that all faced their own challenges with the current sexual healthcare system. The three were inspired by these experiences to build a space in sexual healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community, where users can experience services more personalised to their needs.

LVNDR are yet to launch, and claim they are currently building their platform to offer instant access to tailored health care. The startup state on their website that: “Eventually, we intend to provide access to health services across the board, but we’re starting with sexual health.”

LVNDR’s services are designed to seamlessly integrate into the current sexual health space. The startup is planning to launch a range of different services and products intended to be tailored to the needs of individuals.
So far, LVNDR Health have raised a total funding amount of $2.2 million over the course of 4 funding rounds – their latest announced in September 2021, a Seed Round which raised £1.5 million.
