Bubble’s app, now available on both Android and iOS, makes it easier than ever for parents to find babysitters in their local area. Parents can enter in all specific requirements needed for their sitting job, including if the sitter has experience with new-borns and whether they speak a specific language. After a job is posted, babysitters in the local area can apply and parents can sift through applications to find best candidate for their sitting needs.
The company’s main priorities are trust and transparency, and have so built into the app extensive validation tools and security measures, giving parents access to a trusted network of childminders. Bubble carries out ID verification, background and DBS checks on all of its babysitters, in addition to giving parents access to other parent’s reviews of their services. All babysitters on bubble app are also insured by £1 million in public liability.
For the two co-founders, bubble is not their first online business venture; Last running both the partnerships and sales team at MarketInvoice and Murdock being the Head of New Markets at notonthehighstreet.com. bubble has raised £500,000 in their last round of seed funding, and is now backed by such major inventors as Stephen Morana, Graham Hobson and Andrew Black.
