Business: Subscription business for health tests and kits – completed at home, results sent back and tracked online.
Thriva provides people with a home finger-print blood test, that can be easily ordered online. You then send these tests back, and receive the results shortly after. It is possible to obtain just a one-off test, or sign up for the subscription, which means you receive a blood test kit every three months.
All information is tracked online, so you can keep an eye on your progress (through the subscription model).
The founders of the company, Hamish Grierson, Tom Livesey and Eliot Brooks started Thriva back in 2016, with an aim of creating the world’s very first preventative health service.
Brooks, who has a health condition, knew all too well the inconvenience of waiting weeks for blood test results or the difficulty of booking a doctors appointment in the first place. Collectively, they saw a gap in the market for Thriva, realising that there was nothing available for people to track their health in a convenient manner, all of which led to the creation of the digital health tech startup.
