About Coral Eyewear
Bailey founded Coral Eyewear in 2019 with his father George, creating glasses and sunglasses made from recycled materials. Not just a sustainable business, but a ‘planet-positive’ one, every pair of Coral Eyewear frames removes marine waste like abandoned fishing nets from the ocean, and are themselves recyclable.
There are approximately 640,000 tonnes of abandoned fishing nets in our oceans. The majority of eyewear brands use virgin plastic, further contributing to damaging the planet. We only use environmentally friendly, recycled materials for our frames such as ECONYL, the material made from rescued waste found at sea and in landfills. We only use recyclable packaging. Our impact-free delivery offsets environmental shipping costs too. And our glasses are infinitely recyclable.
The company secured one round of announced equity fundraising in April 2020, worth £125k, at a pre-money valuation of £502k.
Coral Eyewear is on a mission to educate the world about planet-positive solutions.
