About Harry and Champion Health
Harry founded Champion Health in 2018, to make healthier easier for the people that power our organisations. The workplace health platform, known as the “Netflix of Wellbeing”, keeps healthy employees healthy, while also ensuring that struggling employees quickly get the support they need.
The mission is incredibly personal for Harry as just six months into Champion’s journey, his friend and mentor took his own life due to a short bout of workplace stress. Since then, Harry has had a new level of drive to improve employee wellbeing and prevent more tragedies like his.
Champion’s work has led to rapid business growth and multiple awards, but most importantly for Harry, he has been informed that their platform has saved at least four lives. The platform is the first of its kind to bring all areas of wellbeing into one place, meaning workplace health initiatives are personalised to every employee.
Each employee completes a digital health assessment, which uses clinically valid questionnaires and metrics to assess every area of wellbeing, from mental health through to sleep quality. This results in an actionable, personalised health report to improve their wellbeing.
Leaders also receive an aggregated anonymised company health report. This data empowers employers to drive targeted wellbeing initiatives that support employees in the areas that matter most to them.
Following use of the platform: 96% of professionals have a better understanding of their own health and wellbeing and would feel more comfortable supporting a struggling colleague, and 93% of employees value their organisation more for providing them with this platform.
Champion has gone from strength-to-strength despite the upheaval caused by COVID-19. In the last 18 months Harry and his team have trained over 5,000 wellbeing champions across leading organisations. They’ve also provided online mental health training to 10,000+ people across the globe and over 400 organisations, including the NHS and Honda UK.
In the long term, they are aiming to become the leading provider of workplace health solutions, with anonymous data collated from the platform used to positively impact wellbeing policy and research.
