About Harry and Plateaway
Plateaway is a restaurant meal kit marketplace with some of the biggest & best independent brands, delivering nationwide.
Harry, who is the co-founder of Plateaway, came up with the idea during lockdown when all these restaurant kits were available but there was no marketplace to browse through them all.
With his vast experience working in technology and digital with companies such as Sky UK and Engine Group UK and in-depth knowledge in tech, product and service design, Harry saw a gap in the market and is in charge of designing and building the website and the end-to-end service for Plateaway.
Plateaway launched with 6 restaurant partners back in July 2020 and now have over 70 restaurant partners. With a variety of cuisines to choose from including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for speciality diets, there’s something for everyone!
Restaurant meal kits are a brand new concept. Plateaway’s meal kits are specially curated, hand-picked ingredients from some of the best restaurants including their exclusive partners Shake Shack, Hard Rock Cafe and Homeslice.
Customers who don’t live in city centres have limited access to high-quality food options from the best restaurants in the UK. For these people, restaurant meal kits allow anyone, no matter where you live, to eat high-quality, restaurant-standard food at home.
