About Semble
Semble is the healthcare management platform for outpatient providers. Founded in 2018 by Christoph Lippuner and Mikael Landau to address the deep fragmentation in how care is delivered, Semble connects and orchestrates every stage of the patient journey – helping solo clinicians, growing group practices and complex enterprise organisations deliver faster, safer and more patient-centred care.
At the heart of Semble’s SaaS model is a simple principle – healthcare organisations should not have to replace their existing technology to receive more value from it. Rather than operating as a closed system, Semble is flexible and designed to connect with the systems healthcare professionals use every day through an open API and Semble Connect, its integration and workflow automation platform.
Over the past year, Semble has:
- Supported over 10 million patients
- Facilitated over 22 million appointments, with online appointments increasing by 47.2%
- Automated more than 7 million administrative tasks through Semble Connect
- Enabled 7.7 million consultations
This approach has enabled Semble to scale across a complex and fragmented market. Today, Semble is trusted by over 1,700 healthcare businesses across 80 specialities and relied on daily by over 18,000 healthcare professionals. Following a £30 million Series C investment in 2026, Semble is accelerating product development and international expansion, including further growth across Europe.
Semble Connect allows healthcare providers to connect more than 1,200 external tools, bringing the clinical and operational systems teams rely on every day, including CRM, finance, HR, laboratories and diagnostics, into a single, coordinated workflow.
Supported by Semble’s open API, these integrations can be set up securely without the need for custom development or complex IT projects. Over three million tasks have been automated through Semble Connect, reducing repetitive administration, removing operational friction and giving clinicians more time to focus on patient care.
Burnout among healthcare professionals remains a significant concern, with up to 60% reporting symptoms. Research suggests clinicians can spend around 50% of their time on administrative tasks, adding to the demands of day-to-day delivery. By connecting systems and automating routine processes, Semble helps providers join up critical stages of the patient journey, receiving more value from the technology they already have and saving crucial time that could be spent with patients.
The impact of this model can be seen in how healthcare organisations operate day-to-day. Mid Ulster Clinic eliminated paper-based administration, saving around 90 minutes every day while improving patient safety and operational visibility. For Consultant Cardiologist Dr Rahim Kanji at Welbeck, reducing manual processes and late-night administration has helped ease the pressure of running his practice, giving him back weekends with his family that are usually spent on paperwork.
For the wider SaaS ecosystem, Semble demonstrates how vertical software can create value without becoming another isolated system. Interoperability and automation are built into the product, allowing customers to connect the technology they already use and automate the work between systems. In a sector as complex as healthcare, this approach helps reduce fragmentation and gives organisations more value from their existing technology as they grow.
