Claude’s developer Anthropic has made an update to their platform by bringing the Artifacts feature to the public. This was first launched as a preview in June, and now everyone on the Free, Pro and Team plans can use it.
Since its preview, the feature has been well-received, with users creating tens of millions of Artifacts. These are single pieces of content like code snippets, diagrams, flowcharts, websites, and more, all generated directly on the Claude AI interface. This is to make the process of working with complex content more convenient by reducing the need to switch between different tools.
How Can Artifacts Be Used In Different Professional Fields?
Artifacts can be used across professional industries. Developers, for example, can generate architecture diagrams directly from their codebases, which can then be easily modified and iterated upon. This is useful for those who need to visualise complex structures quickly.
Product managers can create interactive prototypes that can be tested and refined within the same environment. In turn, this takes away the process of feature testing, for quicker adjustments and improvements.
For designers, Artifacts enable the creation of powerful visualisations and prototypes, for a faster project development process and iteration.

How Do You Interact with Artifacts In Claude AI?
Interacting with Artifacts in Claude AI is meant to be user-friendly and intuitive. When Claude generates content, it automatically creates an Artifact, which is displayed in a dedicated window to the right of the chat. Users can then easily view, copy, and edit the content without leaving the conversation.
Artifacts’ ability to iterate on content in real time is a big selling point. Users can ask Claude to make changes, and these updates are reflected directly in the Artifact window. With this, multiple versions of an Artifact can also be accessed through a version selector, so switching between previous iterations or comparing different versions is a much more seamless process.
Claude also allows users to view the underlying code of an Artifact, copy it to the clipboard, or download it for use outside the conversation. This flexibility makes it easy to work with the content in other tools or share it with colleagues.
What Platforms Support The Use Of Artifacts?
Artifacts are accessible across all Claude.ai plans, and this is so that users on any subscription level can take advantage of this feature. It can be accessed via the Claude website or the iOS and Android apps to help streamline different workflows.
For those on the Team plan, Artifacts bring even more collaboration opportunities. Team members can share Artifacts within projects, for an easier way to work together on complex tasks in a secure environment. This shared access allows for collective building and iteration on content, so that all team members are on the same page.
