Swift’s Concert Triggered Earthquake Monitors: Apps Helping People Make The Most Of Dance

Fans at Taylor Swift’s Scotland concerts last weekend danced so energetically that they set off earthquake monitors, as reported by Sky News. Seismic activity was detected up to six kilometres away during the three concerts at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

The British Geological Survey noted that the highest spikes in seismic activity occurred during Swift’s popular song “…Ready For It?” on all three nights. These events surpassed previous records set by Beyonce, Harry Styles, and Bruce Springsteen.

BGS seismologist Callum Harrison noted Scotland’s reputation for enthusiastic audiences remains strong.
