Hammock’s Founder and CEO, Manoj Varsani MBE, is a former CTO and a landlord. As a landlord, he got frustrated with managing his property finances with spreadsheets and grappling with archaic technology. Manoj created Hammock to offer landlords real-time access to their property finances, on an easy-to-use, intuitive platform.

The company also have a select group of strategic angel investors who believe in their mission. Hammock are a proud participant in the 2021 REACH UK program.

Hammock and COVID-19

Many in the Hammock team are involved with charity work, coaching and mentoring and volunteering with local initiatives. Hammock have also created their own project: in March 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, CEO Manoj Varsani got the whole team on board with SOS Supplies, a non-profit marketplace to help charities and organisations source protective equipment for their key workers.

The whole Hammock team worked on it, together with more than twenty volunteers who joined them. The company oversaw the shipment of more than 1 million items of PPE, working with over 250 organisations.
