About Mews
Founded in 2012 by former hotelier Richard Valtr, Mews has grown from a single-hotel solution into a leading global hospitality technology leader powering over 15,000 customers across 85+ countries. Today, more than 125,000 hoteliers actively use Mews each month. Mews is built on a simple belief: technology should remove operational friction so hotel teams can spend more time with guests.
Mews differs from traditional property management systems because it is a cloud-native operating system spanning PMS, POS, revenue management, housekeeping and payments. Mews also connects hotels with more than 1,000 hospitality applications, giving properties the flexibility to build the technology stack that best fits their business.
For years, one of Mews’ greatest challenges was persuading an industry rooted in legacy systems that changing core technology did not have to be risky or disruptive. Mews helped shift that mindset by demonstrating that cloud technology could simplify operations, unlock new revenue and improve the guest experience. In 2026, the company’s progress made that transformation unmistakable.
In January, Mews raised $300 million in a Series D round led by EQT Growth, with new investors Atomico and HarbourVest Partners and continued backing from Kinnevik, Battery Ventures and Tiger Global. The investment valued Mews at $2.5 billion and followed a year in which SaaS gross profit grew by 55%. In 2025 alone, Mews supported 42.3 million checked-in reservations, processed $19.7 billion in platform transaction volume, and helped hoteliers generate $537 million in additional revenue through Mews Spaces.
At Mews Unfold 2026, the company introduced Mews Operating System, hospitality’s first unified OS, alongside five major product innovations spanning revenue management, guest messaging, accounting, business intelligence and channel management. Mews RMS now performs 150 million pricing calculations every day, while Mews Channel Manager, powered by SiteMinder, connects hotels to more than 400 OTAs through a single contract and support relationship. New AI-enabled messaging and automation capabilities can manage guest conversations and turn guest insights into operational action.
Mews also expanded the boundaries of hospitality technology. A strategic Uber partnership is bringing ride booking, tracking and billing directly into the hotel OS. Mews POS launched in the United States and Canada, connecting front-desk, food-and-beverage and payment workflows. In August, Mews became the first hospitality OS to secure an Electronic Money Institution licence in the European Economic Area, laying the foundation for purpose-built financial services that unite hotel operations and money management.
Recognition has followed. Mews was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for worldwide hospitality revenue management systems. HotelTechReport named it Best PMS for the third consecutive year, as well as Best POS, a finalist in Best RMS, and one of the Best Places to Work in Hotel Tech in 2026.
Mews’ next chapter is focused on deeper AI-native automation, stronger embedded financial services and continued international expansion. Its “heads-up hospitality” philosophy remains unchanged: the best technology should fade into the background, empowering hotels to become more efficient, more profitable and more human.
