Feedback From The Judges
“What stood out was how many companies have moved beyond AI as a feature and built it into the everyday work of specific industries. Mews set the pace with remarkable scale and momentum, while Simpro and Semble showed how deeply specialised platforms can transform the trades and outpatient healthcare.
“Construction was really the surprise of the field, with SmartPM, Trayd, Kantiv, Track3D and Zebel all backing ambitious claims with hard numbers. I also admired entries shaped by conviction: Hospitable letting its customers become shareholders, Cleafy creating a new category in fraud prevention, and Quinly giving children a safe, anonymous way to seek help. The strongest submissions shared three qualities: they were specific about outcomes, honest about their challenges, and clear about exactly who they serve.
Oluwasesan Kayode Yackson, Chief Operating Officer, ProtonLabs Technology Inc. Ltd.
“For me, this year’s entries showcase the remarkable breadth and maturity of today’s SaaS ecosystem. What stood out most was the shift from software as a tool to software as intelligent infrastructure. Companies such as Hydrolix, Opterrix, Doctify, CaseCraft.AI, and Cleafy demonstrated how AI and data can solve complex, high-impact problems in industries ranging from insurance and construction to healthcare and legal services.
“I saw among the strongest submissions those solutions that paired technical innovation with clear evidence of customer value and market adoption. Doctify, Hydrolix, Origin, Polarsteps, Qore, and Fieldwire, stood out for combining strong product vision, significant scale, and measurable business outcomes. These companies are not simply digitising existing processes; they are redefining how entire industries operate. I also saw clear expression of desires to address specific identified problems in global business ecosystem, solution scale and business value proposition. It was a contest of highly innovative solutions addressing critical operational challenges, reputation management, automating and supporting complex workflows.
“I was also impressed by the number of mission-driven businesses using SaaS to address meaningful societal challenges. It was interesting to note that Quinly is improving child safeguarding, Five Lives is tackling cognitive health and dementia prevention, and CaseCraft.AI is expanding access to justice.
“A recurring theme across the entries was vertical specialization. The most compelling companies deeply understood a specific market problem and built solutions tailored to real operational workflows. Overall, the competition reflects an ecosystem increasingly focused on measurable outcomes, trusted AI, industry expertise, and sustainable long-term value creation.”
Dr. Kayode Adedapo Kolawole, Sales Director at Nagode Industries Limited: FNIMN, FIMC, CMC, FCISCSM
“I mostly asked one question: does this fix something that really matters to people? Quinly was my clear favorite. It gives children a quiet, anonymous way to ask for help through their school, and I wish something like it had been around when I was younger. LightMetrics and Cleafy came next, because safer roads and fewer scams make a difference in normal, everyday life.
“King of the Curve stood out for showing students exactly where they’re falling behind, not just giving them more to study. And from my own corner of marketing, Upfluence got my vote, because anyone who’s tried to find and reach the right creators knows how much work it takes. Overall, I rewarded products with a clear, human benefit over tools that just automate something people already do.”
Nicole Pyzyk, Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing Manager Specialising in B2B SaaS
“The SaaS66 is always an incredibly difficult competition to judge, but for the best reason: the sheer variation in entries. This year, it was even more difficult due to the record-breaking number of entries we received, which is a pretty good problem to have!
“The 2026 list of entries showed how valuable and important the world of SaaS is when it comes to making a real difference, and this year, Quinly and Tray stood out to me the most in terms of solving real-world problems (in two very different environments!).

“I judged every entry on what its website proves, not on what the form claims: a real product with public documentation, a transparent price or fee model, security shown with evidence rather than badges, and outcomes tied to named customers. The strongest entries had all four, and it shows in how they run.
“Mews, Fieldwire and Hydrolix publish their APIs, their prices and their audits and let you check. Secureframe, SmartPM and Cleafy carry the certifications they sell to others. Hospitable and Semble, smaller and partly bootstrapped, still ship open documentation, trust pages and status pages that many larger entrants lack. The gap between the top and the rest was rarely ambition. It was verification: gated docs, quote-only pricing, borrowed certifications and traction figures that the site does not support.
“The companies I would trust to run my own systems were the ones that made checking easy.”
Egiziago Cioffi, CEO and IT/Enterprise Architect at SynSphere Italia
“What struck me most was the sheer variety of the entries. SaaS can sometimes feel like quite a technical space from the outside, but these businesses showed just how many real-world problems are being tackled through technology – across everything from hospitality and healthcare to field services and finance.
“The strongest entries for me were those that went beyond simply telling me they had built a great product. They demonstrated the problem, showed the impact they were having and backed it up with genuine evidence of growth, customer results or innovation.
“There were some incredibly impressive businesses in the mix, but I also found myself drawn to those solving less obvious problems particularly well. Mews, Simpro and Ultimo were among the entries that really stood out to me, albeit for different reasons.
“Overall, it was a genuinely difficult group to narrow down – which is probably the best problem a judge can have!
