About iamproperty

After graduating and working for a time in the sector, university friends Ben and Jamie spotted a gap in the market for a property auction offering that benefited both Estate Agents and consumers. They started the now multi award-winning iamsold (part of the iamproperty group), pioneering the Modern Method of Auction (MMoA). Usually offered online, MMoA is transparent, secure and allows transactions to be completed within 56 days. As a result, it has become the UK’s largest residential property auctioneer. Something which has seen huge success during the pandemic and hugely competitive residential property market.

This year, iamproperty set its sights on modernising the Private Treaty process, to improve the home buying and selling experience for everyone involved. The launch of its new end-to-end onboarding and sales progression platform iamproperty movebutler, is designed to speed up completion, by up to 4 weeks, by digitising the main sticking points in the process and putting real focus on upfront information and increasing transparency across the whole journey for agents and consumers.

The platform was designed for forward thinking agents and as well as ensuring that agents and conveyancers remain compliant, the platform has significantly reduced their admin time, giving them more time to delight their clients and grow their business.

This year, the property market has changed dramatically, and the organisation has responded and flexed to the changing needs which has led to their biggest year of growth to date.

iamproperty Growth

iamsold continually tops Essential Information Group’s (EIG) annual auctioneer league table and has also developed industry-first relationships with property portal giants, Rightmove and Zoopla. From humble beginnings and setting up their first office from their living room, 12 years’ later and multiple prop tech solutions now launched to market, the organisation is recruiting nationwide and now employs 250 people.

Co-founder Ben Ridgway, said: “We’ve built our business around empowering Estate Agents to succeed, by being an extension of their team and enabling them to expand their services through modern solutions. Ultimately, it is about bringing choice to consumers, whether they choose Private Treaty or auction, and delivering process efficiencies through digitisation so that the moving experience is improved at every stage.

2020 was our fastest period of growth and at the six-month mark, 2021 looks set to be another great year. Our passion is innovation and it’s great to see Estate Agents embracing more modern methods.”
